These are freakin ace mate.
Will definitely be loitering on flickr more to keep up with your new stuff.
Holy crap, these're fantastic.
I'm enjoying the hell out of these, sir. Well done!
The Highlander one is THE BEST. I laughed aloud and shared it on Twitter. :D
well, i kind of hate you a little right now.
i will never be as awesome as you.
so go fuck yourself jerk.
Love these! Every one, great job.
Holy s#!t. Those are unreal.
ha, those are great, man. i've been collecting book adaptations of b-movies for a while, so it's a kick seiing your take on the genre:)
I need these on t-shirts now!
Brilliant design.
These are awesome.
I wish I could show you how I feel about these but since its the webbernet, picture the moment in Labyrinth where David Bowie is throwing the baby in the air and singing dance magic dance. That baby's face is how i feel. Only even better.
Agree with all of the above. These are pitch perfect, beautifully imagined, and all-around awesome.
Brilliant stuff. Why aren't you working in the industry? Or are you, and am I mistaken and embarrassed?
I bend the knee. These are amazing.
o holy cow, i NEED these! i don't care if they aren't real, they're more real to me than the real thing!
if i ever got published i'm bucking for you to design my covers.
These rock so freakin' much, I can barely stand it. Close Encounters and Ghostbusters are two of my faves.
Very Alvin Lustig.
Q2
Neat. I'd boy each and every one of those books just for the cover!
Hafta agree with all.... Genius. Love them all. Very, very well done.
Absolutely great idea and execution!
possibly the best thing i have ever seen on the interwebs
PLEASE make these into T-Shirts- I would buy several immediately!
These are stunning. If they were real I would buy every one of them and frame them.
These are superb. And it really is a testament to how dumbed-down movie posters (and for that matter most book covers) are these days. Keep up the great work!
truly amazing and inspiring!
awesome
are there 28 of these? I can only find 21 on your flickr site.
Oh please, make these into t-shirts! I must have them! I weep for them. I long for them. I dream of them! Plus they would make the bestest presents for husband EVER!
These are Awesometown! Seriously!
I'm drooling! They are so good I'd like to eat them! I look forward to seeing more.
Mein Gott, these are amazing. My cap is duly doffed in your direction, sir!
Very, very cool, man.
Amazing, great style, make a poster please! I'm totally buying it!
Fantastically retro, great work! I agree, get these on products somehow. Or, make enough to fill a coffee-table book! :-D
If you made at least a spine and maybe a back cover for these, I would print them out and paste them onto cheap paperbacks.
Lovely! Absolutely Lovely!
These are phenominal... i'm awestruck! Thank you.
I must comment, but I'll say nothing that no one else hasn't already: superb. absolutely great. (put exclamation points next to those - cause I'm too lazy to go back) seriously SERIOUSLY good work. from the design/symbol of it all, just masterful "less is more" image making. I can't rave enough, and you can believe that you'll get plenty of work from this if it's submitted. I wish you the best and look forward to seeing more of your design work on many a movie poster, iconic logo and vintage book cover. all the best!
I jsut stumbled across this site by seeing a link on current. I love the idea and the work is very clever! Just wanna second what everyone else has said and send my big ups for this
Simply put, these are genius. We need more....
GS
So original, brilliant and intelligent, well done mate
brilliant job- bravo!
You crossed the streams!
These are brilliant.
These are really great. I actually stumbled upon these randomly and thought, hey wait, i know the guy who makes these... then I got the link to it later in the day from MK (owner of Beni). I've said too much.
So anyway, consider yourself an internet celebrity congrats!
These are incredible. Just amazing. Caddyshack and Shaun of the Dead are my favorites!
I love them all. The 'Mean Girls' one, might be my fave, but their all my faves. i'm gonna twitt this link.
Love them. Please release them as prints/posters.
I LOVE the Hudsucker Proxy one.
Great work!
I can only add my sincere admiration as a new fan of SpaceSick. Great idea, brilliantly executed.
I clamor for more!!!
These are perfect!
marry me!
<3_<3
nice!
eh. I've seen better.
Just kidding. What _everybody_ else said--these are the bees knees. I'm a fan of mid-century illustration, and you are a master of it.
Groovy graphics! You're a god!
Amazing!
Jesus Christ! Thanks so much, everyone! :D
You guys are TOO kind and about 18 kinds of awesome. Thank you. :)
Super cool!

Wow! Looooove these, super job :) Please let me know if you end up making any prints or tees
Astounding! I can't choose a favourite. I can't. Don't make me do it.
you magnificent bastard.
I'm so stealing this idea.
those are great!
I love them. :)
100% awesome! Reminds me of Dick Bruna's 50s/60s pocket covers for Black Bears, only better.
this is so cool! keep it coming!
ULTRAcool selection! www.inkoma.com
i love it. i love. i love it. Period.
www.randpop.de

U R MY HERO
Seriously great series, they've been a huge inspiration, I've even included your work as part of some research for my project to design a book cover on my course.
Great job!
What everyone said... just awesome. Also, I love your ALT tags on all the images :) Choice quotes!
Time to go forward this link to a bunch of other people (found via LayerTennis pre-match ramblings)
This is the most exciting design I've seen in quite some time. Thank you!
Your collection of book covers for I Can Read Movies are spectacular. The Hudsucker Proxy one rules. At least, you know...for kids. Also, great job being listed in Entertainment Weekly!
These are so cool!!!
I love those book covers, they are so authentic looking. They really look like something you would find in a middle school library from the 70s or 80s. I recently just started my own illustration blog as well.
Cheers!
These are awesome.
Saul Bass would be so proud.
i'm not sure if you already know this but entertainment weekly mentioned the "i can read movies" series in their magazine this week (the issue with 6 different covers feat. watchmen characters) on the "must list" page.
also, brilliant covers, they are my favourite.
do one for the shining :)
Love these! I am doing similar things, but not in this style. I wish you the best of luck. And I hope you don't run into copyright issues!
These are beyond awesome sauce!!
New to your blog - looking forward to going through your work!
GREATTTT Stuff!!!
:)
you are a talented man.
those are great
@Shane Frohnapfel
Wow. you're pretty rude.
I checked out that link you posted. More than one example of art from a medium does not negate the existence of either bit of art. If it was solely the medium that was special, then there'd be no reason for any new... oh let's say... Industrial sound ever. I mean, NIN and KMFDM cover the whole genre and started it decades ago. Why would anyone bother to add their two cents? And frankly, why are NIN and KMFDM writing new stuff? What's left for them to do, really? Silly artists.
nice collection
please, please make posters.
yes, posters! These are really fantastic.
Good post
If I had brilliant ideas and talent, I could have done these things.
Seriously, wow. I've been staring at 'em for a lot longer than I normally stare at things on non-porn blogs. My compliments to the artists! If I lived in an eternal hallway, these would be the first posters I buy.
(If you're taking requests? Do ORCA!)
I simply can't stop looking at these and making everyone I work with look at them too. Thank you.
If I ever needed a book designed, you'd be the first person I'd call!
These are amazingly good- Remind me of Alvin Lustig, Saul Bass...wow.
I'll echo most of the other comments on here- make t-shirts or posters!!
Found these through M.S. Corley. Brilliant. I particularly liked Shaun Of The Dead.
Beautiful and clever, excellent work.
Hi Dude,
Very nice postings! really fantastic!

I've just given you a One Lovely Blog Award for being in my Top Ten blogs, which you can pick up at http://plotz.blogsome.com Big hugs!!!
Okay -- This kind of exercise is now officially a trend, and you, my friend, are officially an accredited master!
Just delightful. I'd love posters of these for sure.
These are amazing! Very Saul Bass. I collect Penguin books for their covers, wish I could have these too.
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along and I thought of leaving a comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
I simply can't stop looking at these and making everyone I work with look at them too. Thank you.
If I ever needed a book designed, you'd be the first person I'd call!
This novel-cover art series is really, highly sweet. I love it. Nice work.
These are so beyond awesome.
These are fab! (But it's "foreword", not "forward", even if written by John Travolta.)
These are so cool! If I may suggest some movies? Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Mommie Dearest, Dressed to Kill, Pink Flamingos, Suspiria, Back to School, Nine to Five, Mad Max :)
Awesome Awesomer Awesomest
Very cool. How about "The Shining"?
love it! this is splendid..cant wait for 'the shining ' movie to read, or probably any james bond rendition.. can't wait,haha..keep up the good work pal.
Mary Poppins please!
Amazing. Simply amazing. Never seen anything like it, even on the Internets! You possess an artistic mind that provokes great envy and jealousy. In a good way. (Um ... might I perhaps stoke your great fires of creativity? My favorite movie is "Ghost World". Just sayin'.)
Some of them remind of old Colecovision/Atari-type box art.
AWESOME. I love the throwback to the oldschool-noirish-pulpy-kind of covers. Effective, yet classy.
I'll add my voice to the throng of those singing your praises. Beyond impressive. Very, very, very cool.
Suggestions? Hmmm... a little summin' different perhaps... here's some stream of consciousness ideas that may or may not have been mentioned already. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Usual Suspects. Boxing Helena. The Fly. Dead Ringers. The Virgin Suicides. The Usual Suspects. Ringu. Run Lola Run. La Grande Bouffe. Cube. 21 Grams. Time Bandits. The Birds.
There... that should provide some food for thought. And for my next therapy session.
Amazing stuff..
Found it on the main page of IMDB, you're getting famous.
First EW and now IMDB, who know's what could be next for you.....
the big lebowski should be on this list.
These absolutely rock. Please, please tell me where I can buy a copy of the book, or better, a print. Oh, and you NEED to do a cover for 'Weekend at Bernies' ASAP.
Fantastic idea, thanks for sharing here.
nice work dude
I would love to see an Army of Darkness one.
take a look at the end of the site www.liverpoolcamisetas.com.br You will see your Highlander design been selling.
These are amazing dude! Very nice and neat work! I'd love to see more, keep it up! :)
love to see you do one for Withnail and I!
These are amazing I would love to see even more keep it up
I wish I could show you how I feel about these but since its the webbernet, picture the moment in Labyrinth where David Bowie is throwing the baby in the air and singing dance magic dance.
