I just realized that tomorrow will mark the one year anniversary of the "I Can Read Movies" Series. Yowza! I can't believe it's already been a year. I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has enjoyed and supported the series all this time. Thank you so very much!
You know what? I think this celebration calls for a delicious Mrs. Fields cookie cake. Who wants a frosting piece?! Raise your hand! :D
Ahh, yes! Christmastime is in the air, and you know what that means. Jingle bells and merriment abound, a thousand little lights bring their magical glow to every snow-covered neighborhood street, and Spacesick's totally electrifying "I Can Read Movies" art inspired by the movie Blade Runner is available as part of the second annual Nakatomi Invitational!
That's right! This is the first time EVER that art from the "I Can Read Movies" Series has been made available anywhere. And the T-shirt and art print are limited to 100 each, so get em while their hot!
I knew when I woke up today that I wanted to make another "I Can Read Movies" cover, I just had no clue what movie to pick. It's been too damn long, I tells ya! 3 months, I think! I hope it came out okay. The Warriors is one of my favorites, and I don't want to let it down. CAN YOU DIG IT?!
Don't forget that you can see the entire series in its own easy-to-use gallery here!
This moldy old book has seen better days, but boy what an awesome movie! I couldn't tell you how many times I watched my copy of The Wizard as a kid... on Betamax... taped off TV... but knowing that number could help scientists explain why I am the way that I am. Such a great cast! And as far as hour and a half long toy commercials go, I don't know if it can get much better than this.

"I know what you were gonna do, and you can just forget about it. There is no way! I am NOT kissing a boy."
Finally! The long lost second book in the "I Can Read Movies" Series! I've been looking for this baby for the longest time, you guys. And believe you me, I had to pay a pretty penny to get it in such good condition. *gently seals in protective UltraPro bag*
No but REALLY, this was going to be the second book ever- right after Space Jam. I just couldn't get a handle on it, so I moved on to Highlander. What an EXCITING story! :D And don't forget, you can see the entire series in its own easy-to-use gallery right here.
"You know there's some things I forgot to tell you guys... and they're really important."
I was finally in the mood to make a cover honoring one of my absolutely all-time don't-you-forget-it you-better-believe it top 5 favorite movies EVAH today, so I just went with it (with a wink and a nod to the second "I Can Read Movies" I ever did- hey who wants to live forever anyway?). Zombies. That's who.
So cool! I guess it's like a TV Guide sorta thing. And look, the pink matches the whole rest of the layout. I'm honoured! Thanks to Phones for the picture, and for mailing me my own copy as we speak! :D
John Keddie from Vintage Vantage came to me months and months ago with this redonkulous idea after seeing the totem in my Ernest Goes to Camp "I Can Read Movies" cover, and it finally debuted this week. I love how it turned out! It's perfect. Strong enough for a man, but gentle enough for a woman. John's vintage treatment and speech bubble took it to a whole new level.
On sale now for $14 in Mens and Womens, but not Raccoons for some reason. Hmm.
