Making Logos is Fun, by Mitch Ansara (Spacesick Books, 1972)

Making Logos is Fun, by Mitch Ansara (Spacesick Books, 1972)

I just whipped up this silly nod to classic graphic design books (most notably this one and this reissue) because I realized I actually have money to spend on useless frivolous fun stuff like this!

I'm on a buying spree. Can any of you guys recommend some good vintage design, logo, and art books to check out? Or do you know of a good place to pick up some used copies? The older and more thumbed-through, the better! That's what she said.

better yet, go there. it's in downtown portland.

books about paul rand (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Rand) are awesome. there's also a great book about the penguin covers. http://www.amazon.com/Penguin-Design-Cover-Story-1935-2005/dp/0141024232/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1240460172&sr=8-1
